COMPANION PRESS
Photographic Books on Landscapes at Crossroads of Environmental Concern
Established in 1987 by Publisher/Editor Jane Freeburg, Companion Press specialises in fine photographic interpretive books. Our first title, Exploring the Southwest's Grand Circle, with over 100,000 copies in print, was recently released in a completely revised, updated second edition. Exploring the Eastern Sierra: California and Nevada (1988) was revised and re-designed for release in 2003, the year Companion Press moved from Santa Barbara, California to Bishop in the beautiful Eastern Sierra. In 2010 we relocated to Bozeman, Montana and are at at work on various Montana projects.
Jane Freeburg, Publisher/Editor and her husband, Senior Editor Mark Schlenz, collaborate on project development for the Companion Press line as well as editorial services for other publishers and contract clients.
